First of all, I want to congratulate you because if you are already half way through your journey to the bright side of your life. I am sure that by doing the earlier steps, you must have felt the ultimate boost in your confidence and I am positive that you must have realized by now that getting over depression is in fact just a matter of making a choice. Once you decide you want to get over it, it isn't really difficult. So pat yourself because realising this is really difficult.
Now, if you have read the earlier two posts you already know 3 things you were asked to do, let us remind them again.

  1. SMILE when you feel depressed.
  2. Make a 'WHY I AM GOOD' list.
  3. REPEAT positive things in your mind.

Now what is next? What to do now?
Well, here are step 3 and step 4 of the series which are actually the last steps. Yes, the series is ending which means we have almost found the key to open the door for happiness. So, I think we shouldn't wait and just move to the third step.

THIRD STEP: MAKE A FUN, LOUD PLAYLIST.


Do you like listening songs? Of course, you do. But if you don't, start from today. 
Another question, every time you turn the music on, do you usually end up listening to sad and emotional songs? Yes? I can understand.
Here's what you should do, smile and keep the smile till you count to 15. Now, when you feel better and is your positive and determined self, MAKE A LIST OF FUN LOUD SONGS. Every single song that you feel is 'loud'. 'high on beats' or is 'fun' go for it and add them to your list.

These are only some songs, you can add any of the songs that you like, in your list. But just remember that they should be either happy or loud or fun or high on beats.

Keep in mind: Do not add any love song or sad song. There is a strict no for them.

➝Why this works: The type of songs you listen, is the type of outlook you have for your life. If you listen to sad songs, you will end up being sad. If you listen love songs, your brain is more fragile to make you fall in love with someone, before you are ready and sure about it. If you listen to songs which are positive and fun, they make our brain process things positively. When we listen music which is high on beats or is loud, it keeps us focused on the beats only, which makes it difficult to think about other things.

So you decide what you want to be.

FOURTH STEP: SING ALONG.

Singing along and dancing on the playlist you have made is one of the most fun and effective ways to be happy. Trust me, you are going to feel awesome once you start singing to all those happy and loud songs. Do not focus on the lyrics, just on the beats and music. Now dance along, let your body go with the flow. Even if you can't dance, just shake up your leg, shake those hands or do that PT routine your teacher taught you in school, just have fun.
I used to just jump, jump and jump that's how I still dance when I feel upset. So do not think about how it will look or what other people in your family will think, just be spontaneous. Do whatever that feels natural and fun.
Do this every time you can, especially when you feel that you want to cry or is upset. It's not a lie that 'Music heals you and dancing soothes your soul' because they really does. I have helped so many people with these steps. All it takes to be happy, is the will to be happy. And to be willing, you have to stop thinking about what will seem awkward to others because it's not others who are going through what you are. Do this for your happiness and your fun.



Do this all everyday, all the steps that I have told you about and you are done. Done with depression because these steps were all you need to be happy.

I really don't wanna end this series but what to do? There is nothing left in the series. As I am more than sure that you are going to be absolutely happy after doing all these things.
